Banburee Resort & Spa Samui Guest Reviews
A great place for a quiet relaxing break. Service and Food excellent, free minibus service to local towns and resorts very useful. Location is a bit remote, (just what I wanted) but some may wish to be nearer to the action! We thoroughly enjoyed our final 5 days holiday here after having been travelling for 10 weeks. The Staff were just about the best we'd met.

This is my second time to Koh Samui. So we decided to stay a bit further from Chaweng beach and therefore we chose Banburee Resort. Although it's a bit far away from Lamai beach but we found that Banburee is a very nice and quiet hotel, we could even occupied the entire swimming pool both at night and in the morning. The staffs are very kind and helpful. They could even prepared breakfast for us at 6am on the day we left!!! But we got a small problem when driving back to the hotel at night, there wasn't a clear sign and we got lost in the forest! We finally had to stop by a roadside store and ask for help. But overall, it's a worth living hotel, I think I will come back next time!!

If we wouldn't have booked lastminute and therefore got an interesting price, we would have shortened our stay. The Resort is far from any typical Thai facilities like beach restaurants, bars etc. The location of the hotel is due to the fact, that although being a beach resort, you couldn't use the beach as thewater is for 2 km far too flat to bath and walking in the not even knee high water is only possible with shoes as corals are very sharp. Worst was the housekeeping service: our room was cleaned in 2 minutes - amazing, but bath room and terrace showed afterwards why this speed is possible... The overall service, the architecture and the space of the bungalows however, are splendid. And the hotel's shuttle service to Lamai beach helped us to at least dig our feet in the evening in the sand, when we had dinner at the beach and were enjoying the waves.

Banburee Resort is indeed an upscale resort (I stayed a spacious garden villa, very clean and quite luxurious). As the hotel is very secluded and quiet it's mostly suitable for couples wanting a romantic timeout. There is a free hotel shuttle bus to Chaweng Beach (very touristy!) and Lamai Beach (cleaner and quieter than Chaweng) if you want any action - but it always takes a while to get there, and to take a taxi to the hotel at night is quite expensive. Resort has a nice pool, but there is no beach where you can swim at the hotel!
