Check in took forever, (about 30 minutes) at 730 on a friday night. Crowded time, but come on and figure it out, having 6 people doing check ins is just dumb. The casino and hotel is old and it shows, but in general it was fine. Stay here and take a cab to Revel for the amenities, casino and what not. Soft poker room....

The only thing Bally's has going for itself is the location. Besides that, it leaves much to be desired. The bed must have been an original from when the hotel just opened. There is no sound proofing between any of the rooms. It sounded like our neighbors were doing it in our bed. No plans to ever go back.

Our room was dated and drab. We had a non-smoking room that had cigarette burns in the carpet. The pillows and bed linen were terrible. The whole hotel needs an upgrade to compete with other area hotels/casinos.

Frist, if you want a king size bed don't have them talk you into two double it not a queen size and if you are over 5ft 8ins you can not sleep on that bed, we requested a change of room, the give us a handicapped room well for people that are handicapped that room is great but for other people if you have any clothing to hang well it will be on the ground, well after two room change we ended up in a room where the lights did not work and the mirror in the room had water spots and to top it off spedder web was in the room.

Took over an hour to check in. Reserved reservations ahead of time but when trying to check in on the computer it told me my room was not found. then had to wait on line for an hour because there was only one person at the counter checking people in. Finally made it to the counter check in and the employee had a bad attitude.

The hotel was inexpensive and easy. The room was spacious and clean but staff kept coming in to the room without knocking. Other than that, it was a really nice trip.

We stayed at this hotel over the dates of December 26- 27, 2011 and we were placed in the Claridge Tower of the hotel. I asked upon check-in if this was a renovated tower and I was told it was and the rooms there (we had 5 rooms between all of us) were smelly, not as clean and to top it all, when I turned on the faucet, the water was rust-colored! We did not take a shower the following morning. We just checked out.

It is unfortunate that it takes one bad experience to totally change your mind on future stays at a hotel. I've stayed at this Casino in the past and have been pleased with everything. However, I called earlier that night and told them i would not be able to check in until after midnight since i was arriving in the city late. The woman said that she will note that I will arrive by 2am. I asked if it was ok if arrived after 2, she said it should not be a problem and to just go to front desk. I arrived at 3:15 and the woman at the counter said that thrir systems shut down at 3am and I am unable to check in but she can have us check in for the next day at a rate of $189. I said no since we were going to check out at 10am and had already paid for the room. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me the same thing. After an exausting night all we wanted to do was sleep. It was a huge inconvenience as we opted to go to another hotel in the middle of the night.

We had the Ruby Room which seemed to have a 60s decor. The view was great. The bathroom was small. However it was a terrific deal thanks to booking through a third party.

I had a bad experience with the front desk at first since she did not accept my friend who forgot his ID. I told her to change under my name but did not work. she just ignored or had no knowledge that she could change with the confirmation number. At last, the other desk helped her to change it... it took a while for this small change... the room is pretty clean and neat. The view is good but i think most of all the location is really good. have access to any where including the board walk and the outlets. I think it was a pretty good stay.
