Balcon De Europa Hotel Nerja Guest Reviews
My wife and I spent 10 days there over a New Year. We know Nerja well and had used the hotel's bar facilities many times. The location is excellent (largely why we booked there) and the New Year all night meal very good. My parents-in-law enjoyed the restaurant - we did not. The hotel caters for Thompson's tours and the age profile of the guests was high (even to us in our mid-fifties). The restaurant was an expensive disappointment - we were rushed through mediocre international food and decided to eat in the local restaurants (excellent) instead. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel no doubt caters well to its market. It was a good price for its location and service was friendly. If you do not like package tour type holidays stay elsewhere but use the hotel's cafe and bar during the day.

Some staff were unfriendly. It took a few days for staff to "warm up."

Very friendly and helpful staff. The location, with one side almost in the sea and the other in the middle of a mediaeval town, is magnificent. Choice of food and helping sizes very good, also close proximity to many good, reasonably priced restaurants.
