I booked 4 nights, the room is clean and comfortable, the design is good as well. The pricing is also attractive considering the service.

A bit noisy if your room faces the street, but overall a good experience. Average neighborhood, close to public transportation.

Stayed 2 nights in the city, location was very convenient to local buses and historic F trolley line. Reasonable walking distance to cable cars at Market and Powell, and Union Square. Market is a little dicey, would use Mission instead to get to a cross street. Room was very clean, bed and linens very very comfortable. But the best value was the on site parking for no more than $20 per night - and we got a 50% off deal. With those savings, we could indulge in cab rides if we were too tired to walk.

The hotel is very good value for money in terms of comfort, cleanliness and courtesy of the staff. It is within 5-10 minute walking distance to Market street, the BART and Union Square and a 10 minute walking distance to Moscone convention center. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is because one needs to pass a couple of blocks that are not well lit and groups of folk that I am disinclined to name but sadly are very present on the streets of San Francisco. Walking on Howard or Mission one tends to pass these stretches more and if walking in the night it would be best to walk on Market and then down 7th.

Not quite a boutique but pretty close and at alot less $$. Friendly staff + character at a decent price = good value.
