Great location, right off the highway making it easy to visit attractions and other places. Breakfast is really good and plentiful. The hotel was completely booked when we were there and the breakfast room isn't very big so you have to be patient. Hot tub is hot and a great place to meet other guests and get tips on places to go and things to do. We travelled with an 11 and 13 year old and they met kids at the pool and hot tub. The hotel will provide a good map for you and they sell discounted tickets to attractions.

Needed a place to crash for the night...you can not beat the value....clean room, free wi-fi, excellent hot breakfast bar, free parking...for the cost you will be pressed to find a better hotel without spending more.

Not out of the world. Just a simple hotel, you go there, stay and move out. Expect no more. But no hassles either :-)

The hotel was reasonably priced and the room was sufficiently clean. The bathroom seemed to have recently been renovated and a new LG LCD TV was also pretty good. The best thing was the breakfast. The breakfast area was very crowded every morning but the staff kept adding more foods very quickly and the variety of foods (including hot scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, waffle, etc.) was way better than what you can normally expect from other similarly-priced hotels. Overall our family (two adults with two kids under 6) had a very good experience during the three-day stay in this hotel.

Very good hotel, clean and well managed. Breakfast was very good, with hot meals: eggs in several ways each day and waffles. Staff was nice. I would come back. And location, just 10 minutes drive -or less- to Sea World and to many places through I5

It was clean and quiet (a few loud motorcycles one evening but considering how close to the freeway we were it wasn't loud at all). When we left, they were just repainting and putting in all new televisions. My only complaint is that the breakfast room needs to be bigger. The food was good but the room was chaos. Every morning we went at different times and it was always packed. Everyone was tripping over each other and squished in at the tables - if we could find a table. They need to double everything - waffle makers, juice machines, space, etc.... Close to area attractions.

Spent a total of ten nights over two weeks here. Quietest motel I ever stayed in. Also the most complete breakfast ever offered. Four different egg dishes rotated, waffles, four juices, four breads, three cereals, fruit, coffee, tea. Great location right off I-5

This hotel was right in the middle of everything we want to do. We could see Sea World from the parking lot; Coronado was a few minutes south and Lego Land a little north. The breakfast was fantastic and the rooms were exceptionally clean. At any time during the day, there were people cleaning all parts of the parking lot, pool and walkways. The only negative comment we made was that the view from our window was a stucco wall behind the office. Don't know why they even put a window in that room!

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Room was clean and had a refrigerator, microwave, and coffe maker. The location is great. I usually never stay east of the 5, but this hotel has easy freeway access and is biking distance to Mission Bay and Pacific Beach - very centrally located if you want to explore the whole city, especially the beaches. It may not have a flat screen plasma TV that you would find in a fancy hotel (read: expensive), but it has free internet, a workout room, and a good, free breakfast... plus you are in San Diego - go outside and play! Great experience at this hotel. Highly recommended.

When we arrived at the hotel around 10pm, there were 2 police cars at the parking lot, that wasnt a good sign! Once we were at the front desk, they couldnt check us in due to their machine to activate the door lock was broken, one of the staff went with us to the room and tried to open the room with the keys and end up the whole lock came off! That was the last room they have available, has no choice to send us to another hotel location that was 3 miles away!

I found the staff helpful, the motel clean and quiet, and the morning breakfasts were well prepared. This motel was just a hop and skip from the convention center and to other attractions. would definately use it again.

Had to change room first thing because the tv was broken. They were very good about it. Breakfast was outstanding, but could have used a bigger area for seating. Good location and easy to get to. Staff was very helpful

Great value for the cost, especially for families. We did not have children with us, but our room happened to have bunk beds and a queen size bed along with other typical motel furniture and there was still plenty of room left. Close to I-5 access for quick travel to local attractions. Staff was extremely helpful and informative.

Arrived late in the evening after flight delays and walked into the room to find there was no bed spread/comforter on the bed. The bed had a THIN blanket sandwiched between two sheets. I called the front desk thinking the maid was in a hurry and forgot to put on the beds spread and was told they were replacing all of them, there were none available in the entire hotel, but the new ones would arrive in a few days. The next day I went to the front desk to see about getting a crib. I was talking to a different staff member than the night before, so I again and asked about the bedding. This time I was told it is a new Best Western policy to NOT even use bed spreads at all so that each day all the bedding that is on the bed has gone through the wash machines. It is suppose to be a cleanliness thing. I'm not sure whose story to believe as they were doing a lot of renovations to other rooms while we were there, either story could be correct. We ended up asking for an extra blanket and found that to be comfortable enough for this stay. We did enjoy the use of a fridge and microwave and the breakfast waffles were great. The breakfast staff was kind and very attentive to keeping things replenished and available. The room was very plain and dated we have stayed at cozier 2 stars with nicer rooms, but for the $$ it was doable. Overall, we would have been very upset had we paid more than sixty dollars a night.
