A perfect location for walking around the historic centre of Valencia. It's a very short away from the main square and cathedral, but I still had difficulty locating it among the small meandering streets - even on my third night! (That's probably me trying to be too clever and relying on memory rather than using a map though.) There's plenty of shops and restaurants / cafes nearby including the main department store El Corte Ingles (at least two branches). The Metro is nearby (Colon or Xativa) and the main station too, but the other station (Joaquin Sorolla, where I arrived from Barcelona) is a bit further but it still has a Metro nearby (but not adjacent). Good and polite staff and the problem with my room safe (the previous guests had left it shut) was sorted immediately.

Do not stay in a room on the 8th floor if you want to go to sleep before 1am. There is a function room on the 9th floor and the floor/ceiling does not block the noise, in fact in amplifies it! The staff were disinterested when we asked if there were more functions on other nights of our stay. They seemed unaware of the noise level. The flamenco dance on our ceiling was certainly an experience! Apart from that and the prevailing smell of sewerage in the room, the hotel in centrally located. There is a fridge in the room so self catering for breakfast was easy.

Great location for the barrio museo and if interested the shopping facilities . The grand mercado also neraby which is well worth a look . Staff very friendly and helpful .Rooms fine without being stunning but good view of square below with bar . All in all good value for money .

It is a very nice hotel, close to city center, a bit old, but confortable and nice. I would give it a minus to the pillows and to the fact that the double bed is made of two separte beds. I liked the fact they give water for free in the minibar.
