Awana Porto Malai Resort is tucked in the heart of Langkawi, about seven and a half kilometres from Langkawi Airport. Vacationers can tee off on at Langkawi Golf Club and have a thrilling paintball session at Langkawi Paintball Park.

Hotel room is slightly above average. Like the pool area which caters well for children. Dislikes the small bathroom.

The rooms are simple but clean and well maintained although the hotel is not new. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is adequate but not spectacular but overall, pricing of rooms with bf is very competitive. Location is remote if you want to try other restaurants but you can rent scooters for 40 M$ at the travel agency by the dock. Drawback is that you have to pay for Internet access at 16 M$ per hour or 32 per day.

All-Inclusive Package was good, however staff didnt seem to understand or know it existed. Front office staff were quite unapproachable, and gave an incorrect room type to begin with. Otherwise, facilities were good, and awesome view from seaview rooms.
