Avonleigh Country House Blue Mountains Guest Reviews
The room and hotel was lovely but the thin walls and plumbing was an issue. I could hear people talking until midnight from another room and the plumbing seemed to go off every half hour as if someone was flushing a toilet. I fell asleep at 6.00am and woke up at 8.00am. Not a good night sleep.

Our stay was pleasant but the house lacked a feeling of warmth and personalisation and felt more like a boarding house. The owners obviously don't live there and the guests are left on their own overnight. The staff on duty were pleasant enough but service was not personal so it felt more like staying in a pretty boarding house. Breakfast was minimalist - the availabity of soy milk and light milk would be appreciated. The garden is lovely and we really enjoyed the spring blooms. When the weather is warmer it is probably lovely sitting on the verandah.

The staff were helpful, the open fire delightful but the heating in the room didn't work - burrr. A short walking distance to echo point and the fabulous scenery and bushwalks and a healthy walk to the town cwntre and restaurants. Charming!

Lovely place to stay for a short visit. As we had a room downstairs we did not have enough natural light in our room.
