Zell Am See Climate
Zell Am See has a cool climate, with summer maximums only occasionally surpassing 20 ºC. Winters can get quite cold with freezing overnight temperatures from December through February. The area receives more than 1200 mm of precipitation per year, mostly during spring and summer.
Getting There & Around
The national railway of Austria, the OBB, operates trains which reach Zell Am See from a number of other cities, such as Vienna and Salzburg. The roads in Austria are very good and the town is easily accessed by car as well. This town even has a small airport.
If you buy and show a lift pass for skiing, the Postbus service will provide you with free transportation. Walking is generally the best way to get around and enjoy the sights.
