Mondsee Climate
The Alpine climate of Mondsee brings cold winters with lows reaching -10ºC and warm summers with highs of 24-25ºC. It can be quite windy at times with snow in the winter, and June through September are the wettest months with 13-15 cm of precipitation.
Getting There & Around
The town of Linz, which is 106 km from Mondsee, is the transportation hub for rail and air travellers to the Salzkammergut area. The A1 and A7 Autobahns connect Upper Austria to Vienna and Munich, and the A9 connects it to South Austria.
Cheap public tramlines are available in larger cities like Linz or Salzburg, but a car is best for travelling rural areas like Mondsee.
