Klagenfurt Climate
Klagenfurt enjoys a typical continental climate, with temperatures below freezing in winter and many foggy days, occasionally broken by warmer weather brought by foehn winds from the Karawanken Mountains. In the summer, temperatures can reach around 25°C with an average rainfall of 115 mm.
Getting There & Around
There is a small international airport in Klagenfurt, which connects to some of the major European cities, and a central train station where lines meet from all directions.The city has many bus lines and taxis; however, the traffic can be quite dense at times, leading to frequent traffic jams. There are walks through the city centre passing many of the historic buildings and monuments, and also a lake steamer on the lake of Wörthersee that takes you to other areas surrounding the lake.
