Port Augusta Climate

Port Augusta has a warm desert climate with temperatures that do not change much throughout the year. The average daily temperature during the hottest month of January is around 90°F (32°C). Even though temperatures can be a bit warm, the water tends to keep things nice and cool.

Getting There & Around

With its location on the tip of Spencer Gulf, Port Augusta can be reached by plane, train or automobile. It is the place where major highways from the Northern Territory, Western Australia, Victoria and New South Wales converge.

Upon arrival, there are passenger transfers that offer tours through many charter companies. There are also rental cars and public bus services that can be used to traverse the city as well as surrounding areas.
