When you visit Stradbroke, be sure to visit the North Stradbroke Island Historical Museum, where you can learn about the Island’s aborigines, the mysterious shipwrecks, and the mineral mining industry. The Dunwich Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Queensland, and shows the influential visitors to the Island that made it their final resting place. You can also take a30 minute stroll on North Gorge Walk, a wooden walkway that makes its way past some of the best places to whale watch on the Island.

If you’re going to spend your entire holiday on North Stradbroke Island, you may want to stay in one of the beach resorts there. You take a leisurely ferry ride over to the North Stradbroke and when you’re not on the Island, you’re close to the Queensland Art Gallery and the Brisbane Botanical Gardens.
