The water temperature is on average a warm 26°C. The summer weather can be very hot and humid, and the best time to visit is typically during the late summer to early spring.
Getting There & Around
To get to North Stradbroke Island, visitors must depart from Cleveland, a seaside town. It is possible to reach Cleveland by train or by bus from Brisbane. From Cleveland, take a Stradbroke Ferries water taxi to the town of Dunwich. A ferry normally leaves every hour.
There are local buses that will meet the ferries at both One Mile Jetty and Dunwich. The final stop on the buses is Point Lookout. It is also possible to hire a cab from Stradbroke Cab Service.
