Mt Buller Climate

Mt Buller winter temperatures fall below freezing at night and generally average about 16ºC (60ºF) during the summer. While winter is the best time to visit for those wanting to participate in snow sports, there are still many activities available the rest of the year.

Getting There & Around

The nearest international airport to Mt Buller is in Melbourne, a three-hour drive. There are buses from Melbourne to Mt Buller, and car hire is also available. A fast but expensive option is to fly to Mt Buller by helicopter.

There is a free bus service in Mt Buller that brings visitors to the ski slopes. All buses have special clamps to secure snowboards, skis and other snow equipment. A 4WD taxi service and mountain bike rentals are available in town.
