Amongst the many available ways to access South Yarra from Melbourne, perhaps the most convenient option is the railway, which offers several lines to the historic destination and stops at both South Yarra and Hawksburn, stations located within close walking distance to the area. The Pakenham, Cranbourne, and Frankston lines also make stops at these two nearby stations. The Sandringham line, however, only stops at the South Yarra station. Visitors who prefer travelling by tram should access routes 8, 72, 78, or 79.
