Daylesford’s summers (December through February) have temperatures ranging from 50°F to 99°F (10°C to 37°C). Winter temperatures (June through August) are cold and wet at 34°F to 36°F (1°C to 2°C). The rainfall for the area, occasionally falling as snow, averages 34 inches (864 mm) annually.

Getting There & Around

Flights to Daylesford land at Melbourne Airport. The Hume, Calder and Western highways, as well as the Tullamarine Freeway, lead to town from the airport. There are several trains that serve the area through V/Line.

Once in town, an extensive network of back roads traverses the region and reaches wineries, art galleries and other sites. Local bus companies also travel between major towns and stop at all the region’s train stations.
