Getting to Coonawarra and Around
Coonawarra is conveniently located between Melbourne and Adelaide. Visitors can fly into the airports in these two cities and make the rest of the journey (about 5 hours) by car, taking the famous Great Ocean Road from Melbourne or the equally lovely Coorong National Park route if travelling from Adelaide. Alternatively, travellers can access an airport that is serviced by both Regional Express and O’Connor Airlines in Mt. Gambier, which is a 30-minute drive from Coonawarra. Premier Stateliner also offers state bus services to Coonawarra. Whilst in town, visitors can hire bikes to travel from winery to winery or drive to some of the further away sights and attractions.
