Getting There

West End, like all of Brisbane, is well-served by the city buses like TransLink. This is a high-frequency service so there is always one heading to and from West End. The CityCat ferry services the university and down to Hamilton, and is actually quite nice to ride along for a personal tour on the river. The South Brisbane Railway Station serves the area as does the Cultural Centre Bus Station. Taxis and rental cars are available, but you might walk around instead, as the weather here is usually amazing. Brisbane prides itself on being a great city to walk or bike in and there is no shortage of walkways and bikeways for just that purpose.
