Allan Border Field is the current home of the Australian Cricket Academy. As such, the diminutive oval develops and tests the skills of some of the best young cricket talent in the country. The venerable field was a rugby pitch from 1909 to 1995, until Queensland Cricket bought the landmark. Now the headquarters of the QC administration, the sports facility also hosts private functions, banquets and corporate events throughout the year. At the end of the day however, Allan Border Field is a superb cricket ground.
