There is a bus that runs to this town from Bendigo, and visitors can catch it on St. Mitchell Road. A train also runs from the Bendigo Marketplace out to the Kangaroo Flat Railway Station. Once in the suburb, travellers can walk to many attractions, but it is easiest to have a private vehicle to use.
