Armidale Climate
Having the rare gift of four distinct seasons, Armidale is an Australian natural treasure whose New England nickname is well deserved. Colourful autumns, cool winters, rainy springs and warm summers are all showcased in this city. However, the temperatures don't vary much except for the winter months, and from September through April daily highs are around 68°F (20°C).
Getting There & Around
The Armidale Airport offers flights daily to and from Sydney for those wanting to visit the town. There are passenger trains on the Main North Railway as well that travel between the town and Sydney.
About the city, there are taxis and buses that run frequently between the town's centre and the University of New England. The town is small enough to trek about easily on foot or cycle, but car hire is also available for attractions located a bit farther.
