Asya Boracay Guest Reviews
Nice hotel, small in size making it a friendly place. Clean, tastefully decorated and very large rooms (I was in one of the Courtyards and the room was huge with a private balcony and 2 queen-size beds). The attentive staff can help with bookings in Boracay (golf, boats, motorbike rental, etc...) so you don't have to deal with the beach vendors and touts. Very good location -- not directly on the beach so you don't hear the noise, yet only about 2 minutes walking distance on a traffic-free street. Best of all is the private cove -- a hoel shuttle takes you to this fantastic, post-card style private beach where you can spend a day in paradise. Great snorkeling possible directly from the beach without taking a boat. Great for children or those who can't swim long distances. Airport transfers to Caticlan with private high-speed boat from the beach.

You couldn't fault the service & facilities - just beautiful. Only a couple of minutes from beach which may appeal if you want to get off the main strip & the noise there. Rooms are gorgeous as is pool area. Highly recommended.

Forget Deluxe Villa: you'll have to keep the lights on all day long (no day light allowed into the dark room with high walls all around a so-called pocket garden - also meaning no wiew except walls and upper level terrace). The private beach... was closed - no replacement proposed - if you want to enjoy a beach, it is the public one at your own risk (nobody looking after your belongings). Transportation from and to Kalibo booked with Island express bus... 1 Hour and 50 mn trip at least, in a bus if you're lucky, or in an overcrowded van... then from Caticlan to the island, don't travel after sunset (hotel boat not allowed to navigate at night and you'll have to use overcrowded banca (security is a word that doesn't exist there). Internet connection: forget it in the room: signal too weak and if you happen to get connected, it is so slow that it makes it impossible to get any mail attachment). And as there is no table in the room, using a laptop means have it on your knees.

We stayed at Asya during the Easter Holiday. It is definitely a unique experience. We had stayed at many hotels in the world, this is a solid 5 stars. It is a very tasteful hotel with art deco design, new and large room, good breakfast, beautiful pool and staff with a smile... The hotel pays attention to very fine details in all its design making it very enjoyable stay. The best is their own private beach "The Cove" where you can lie on the beach, snokeling, etc... If you arrive from Catlican airport, the hotel provide free transport with their own private boat and van. That's what I call service!

Very nice hotel. Don't be put off by it's location off the beach. The quality of this hotel outweighs this fact and you will pay 3 times as much at Fridays to have this quality of accomodation on the beach. In any case - White Beach is about 45 seconds walk down the road and the hotel (although it doesn't advertise this) has it's own private beach to which it runs a daily shuttle service. The thing that really makes this hotel is the staff - they just can not do enough to help you. They never seem to stop smiling. One final thing - where ever you go in this part of the World - remember the people here earn next to nothing. Don't go over board - because you can make it more expensive for the locals - but if you get a good service - please do tip generously. Better still - tell all your freinds that you had a good time there, then maybe more people will go and spend their dollars in the Philippines.
