Astoria Plaza Hotel Manila
    4.2 out of 5

The place a 1bedroom suite room was so beautiful, clean and very cosy. The sofa in the living room could very well occupy one person for the night stay. Inasmuch as the room was semi-furnished light cooking may be done to save on food costs. Not so impressed with paying on a per call basis even just for local calls and thus if you have failed to contact the number you still pay on a per local call basis. The food for breakfast was worth all the pay. the location fully served our purpose because it is very near and walking distance to the school where we enrolled our kid. over all the hotel is highly recommendable to friends, relatives who intends to have a comfortable stay in ortigas.

This is an excelent, underrated hotel. The 1 bedroom appartment is superior to most normal hotels with double bedroom, en suite, lounge & dining area as well as a basic kitchen which includes microwave, 2 burner stove, fridge, utensils + pots & pans + crockery & cuttlery for 4 people. One could happilly stay for an extended time

Overall, a good, clean place with decent facilities and pleasant service. The room I has was large (1 bedroom suite) and included 2 TVs and a DVD player. One of the best values I've found in the Ortigas area. Shuttle service to the malls/general area is a nice service (they will also pick you up). Definitely would recommend this place.

The hotel is more than worth for its price have a nice service and a good breakfast buffet. The hotel staff are really excellent in service as well as courtesy they entertaint all our request. Aside from internet which too expensive Astoria Plaza Hotel is perfect. If I were to go to Manila again I would certainly choose the Astoria.

If you are in a last minute pitch during peak season, this is your best option for much better than average accomodations a a reasonable price. This is actually a room in a time share facility. some pressure to attend sales pitch for a free dinner. This is a long way from international airport, makati, and downtown manila. They charged about 900pp for what was suppose to be complimentary airport transport. Taxi drivers do not know where this place is because most residents dont use taxi. Free shuttle to local malls 1030am to 9pm. Breakfast had variety of local dishes. Good value. Pool good by local standards. Gym small needs new stationary bikes. Had no elyptical equipment. Silverware, pots in room but inventory done at checkout. Staff courteous and freindly but some confusion at front desk. Room large and roomy but showing age.

Far from business area and amusement area. Near only to the shopping malls. The transportation is costly. The using internet is costly. The staff in front desk does not do anything.

The room is clean and so large. The facility is perfect. The free morning buffet is valuable.

My stay was extremely nice. The room was great, it was spacious, clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were clean and functional. The staff were very attentive, while not too intrusive. The minibar was nicely stocked, the microwave was useful, there was no stove but I didn''t miss it. Internet access was available upon request and the food was really pretty decent overall. I would stay here again and I would recommend it as well to friends.

For the price it was an unbeatable value. It was within easy walking distance of Starbucks and less than ten minutes walking to one of Metro Manila''s nicest shopping malls. However, for being only five years old, the hotel and its facilities looked at least 15 years old. I would stay there again for the price.

We find the kitchen appliance such as microwave and electric kettle useful, though we prefer to have at least few plates for our use. We suggest to check that the remote controls have fresh batteries on and for the housekeeping to make sure that the toiletries are complete. They did not provide us toothbrush and toothpaste. We would still recommend it to our friends.

The room is perfect. I can''t complain. Stayed at the 25th floor, very nice view of Pasig City. The kitchen is pretty nice, my girlfriend was able to cook some adobo. Yummy!!!

Strong points of the hotel are the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and the large room size. Bathroom fittings left a bit to be desired, and the buffet breakfast was lacking in variety, but all in all I think it was very good value for money.

I like the kitchen, hot water for coffee is always available. The room is very big, there''s plenty of space to move around. The location is perfect, 24hr stores are nearby. The staff are friendly and the room service comes in a blink of an eye. The front desk staff are very slow, I myself am a front desk staff for a hotel in saipan, and I will compare their speed in checking out/in transaction, I''m sorry to say but they are too slow, the bellman works more attentive than the front desk clerk, but I would stay in astoria again, I would recommend it definitely to my friends. I LIKE IT HAHAHAHA. VIVA ASTORIA...
