Location
The Waikiki Beach Aston is just across the street from one of the most active areas of Waikiki Beach. It is less than a block from the Honolulu Zoo and only 15 kilometres from the Honolulu International Airport. The historic statue of King Kamehameha is just steps away from the front door.

Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel Guest Reviews
Get a car but park 2 blocks away at Aston Banyan. Manoa Falls Trail - Not a gentle slope so wear tennis shoes. Very beautiful and scary when wet but not for the frail. This is where Jurassic Park was filmed. Manoa Lyon Arboretum - take a camera. North Shore - did the drive multiple times. Here is where the waves and surfers go - also places to eat. Take a video of surfers Hotel Parking $30 a night and was not told about that up front. Wound up self parking 2 blocks away at Aston sister hotel for $13 a night. You will get charged for the safe if you ask if there is a charge for the safe. Dog the bounty hunter shop not worth the trip.

The breakfast experience was excellent with good choice of food and live music accompany with Hula dance

This hotel was great. The staff was helpful and answered many questions. If you take children it gets no better. It is directly across the street from the ocean, with a walled area for children to play. The water was no deeper than 5 to 8 ft. The Honolulu Zoo is directly next door and the Waikiki Aquarium is about a 10 minute walk. Shops galore all along the Waikiki strip. Great place to stay.

The staff was very friendly, elevator was neat. It used your room card to go to the right floor. Pool was cool. Great restaurants in building or nearby. Lots of computer access. Variety for your free breakfast or could have a bigger one with additional charge. Breakfast also came with enterainment like music and hula dancers. Doesn't have laundry service for guests but one within walking distance. Beds were comfy, mini bar in room. Had a great diamond head view on 20th floor. Room was quiet.

Our chief concern was a great view and this hotel provided that (with the Oceanfront room) very well. Loved watching the sunset every night. Some things we weren't as thrilled with include inconsistent room cleaning times (never knew when someone would be in our room), shower curtains didn't keep the water in the shower so the floor got drenched, super abrasive bar soap (ended up buying our own bar of soap rather than use the soap provided), no microwave in room, and the only parking onsite is valet. Having said all that, the pros definitely outweigh the negatives and we would stay here again without question. Hotel staff was very helpful in person and over the phone with specific room requests.
