A good location close to both the city and the airport, so great for an overnight stay or a couple of days, if spending a long weekend in Cairns. Sheridan Street can get very noisy at peak times, so avoid the rooms at the front if you can.

The potential of Aspect Central is not enhanced by the lack of information in the room. No information about how to work appliances. The room design was terrible. The bathroom door blocked off access to the kitchenette. The chairs were not comfortable. The lighting was inadequate. That said the staff were mostly helpful and the bed was very comfortable which was enough for us to enjoy a brief break to unwind.

Poxy room with very peculiar decor (chinese dragons on fake silk as a duvet), cleanliness left to be desired and despite closing all doors and windows mozzies were still getting in.

Good rooms, small with good facilities, excellent bathrooms. Not an awesome view from the bottom floor, but as good as you would expect from the price. Good quality beds, blankets and decor etc. Probably better than most in this price range. 10am checkout on a weekend felt a bit early, but there we go.

We family travel from Sydney. There are three of us. We missed our flight, we had to check-in late two days later and we could not get our unused two days refunded. That is understandable. On the date we finally checked-in, I asked for the compensation to provide a lift to take us back to Cairns Airport which is only 10 mins maximum driving from the Motel. The receptionists(everyday has different person on the shift) keep saying they had no authority to decide whether they can do it or not. So I have to wait another two days to talk to their manager face to face. On the day I finally see the manager, she yelled to me that she can't do anything for me. She was questioning (here is her original quote)"do you want me to close the reception and drive you to the airport by my car or do you want me to pay the TAXI for you by my own pocket money"? Finally, I was forced to pay another 15 bucks to the airport bus (she helped me to book a airport transaction bus and saying that she will not take the commission of $ 5 from the booking) and then she finally smiled to me when she take down my contact detail when she booked the bus for me. Plus, there is a night club next to Aspect Central(I think they own it) and on Friday night it was a nightmare, people walking, talking aloud at 2-3 am without thinking other people might need a rest.

Upon arrival the check in was average with regards to the hospitality. Upon entry to our booked accommodation the room was nothing like what we had booked. Going from internet pictures was completely different than what was presented. I was appalled at the mis-representation and complete in accuracy of the accommodation. Very very unhappy, we left the premises and booked elsewhere costing us more.

could feel the springs in the mattress in our "delux queen room", also very noisy as under the flight path of every plane and old A/C didn't block the noise at all

Too many disappointments to mention. They include but are not limited to the following : - Water all over the floor on entry to room, could not even get into bed without getting feet wet. - Broken curtain rods, not allowing the closure of curtains to stop street light shining into room - Room lights not working - Single bed making squeaking noises every time the occupant moved. - Air-conditioning unit very noisy for such a small room

The room was a little dated, but it was clean and had everything I needed. There was a hotplate in the room if I wanted to self cater, the car was visible from the room and the grounds secured at night, the staff were homely and friendly. Great value for the budget traveller.

Our Stay on 18/2/12 was seriously disappointing. We walked into the room to find the floor covered in water. As we arrived after 7.00pm the office was closed and when we rang the phone to advise our predicament there was no answer. The curtain rail was hanging down broken so the curtains could not be drawn. Some lights did not work. As a previous traveler stated, we too can confirm that the bunk beds squeaked badly causing lack of sleep. I have stayed at other budget hotels at a cheaper rate and have had a wonderful stay. With this hotel I will never return and could not recommend it to others.

We arrived at the hotel to find other customers already waiting to be booked in. No staff were in sight and we all stood around waiting for at least 15-20 minutes. One of the other customers had been pressing the bell but no-one had appeared so I called the office number and someone finally appeared. After finally being served I was given the key to my room only to find that it was nothing like had been advertised. We had booked a room that was supposedly a family deluxe room which was meant to have a double bed, 2 "bunk beds" and a kitchenette. What we were given was a tiny room with a double bed ONE bunk bed and a plug in stove top on top of a cupboard. After returning to the office and approaching the staff member about the room we were told that we were incorrect and that the room was as advertised. I asked to speak to the manager as I wanted to cancel our booking and find somewhere else that was suitable for my family for 10 days but "conveniently" they werent available until tomorrow. As I had already paid for the booking in full & had no choice but to stay the night we were given a fold up trundle bed & a cot to make up for the lack of other beds we needed. Where exactly both of these were meant to fit was beyond me! The floors were filthy and we all had dirty black feet. To top it off the aircon in the room was noisy and barely worked which wasn't very pleasant in a north Queensland summer. I must add to this review that for work I travel and 3 weeks out of every month I stay in hotels all over Queensland with ratings from 4 to 5 stars and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Apart from false advertising the staff were completely rude and unprofessional. I just wish that I had read some reviews before I booked as there is no way that we will ever stay here again!!!!!!!!

The room was clean. We had a dip in their pool which was nice after a hot, humid Cairns afternoon. They also had a mini fridge in the room, so if you had a drink or something, that was useful. Only complaint was the bunk beds were VERY squeaky. If anyone even turned their head, it made a loud noise. Other than that, it was a good place to stay.
