They could not find my booking when I check-in at the hotel.I have insisted several times for them to ring Rates to go to investigate about the booking but they said they don't have the number to call! After about half an hour, they finally found the booking but no apologies given. Then we have another problem is the breakfast issue.The hotel staff said that they only provide one breakfast per room and we have to pay another CNY60 should we wish to have 2 breakfasts despite we have got the confirmation from rates to go with 2 breakfasts included! Luckily with the intervention of Rates to go, they finally agreed to provide 2 instead of 1 breakfast. Overall the attitude of the hotel staff is not friendly and certainly requires more training to achieve the 5 stars status!

This hotel feel like your home. Also easy to find good restaurants just outside door. Chinese and European. Very clean room and a nice bed. Recommend this hotel strongly. Stay there last time in July 2010, my second time at this hotel.

Very good hotel. One of the best hotel in China ever for me. Room was a small apartment with everything you need. Very clean and also not the typical hard Chinese bed. Many restaurants around corner with good food. Can recommend Alsace Village. Also some shops to purchase western food to bring up in kitchen for self making. Recommend this hotel strongly. Only minus was the typical Chinese breakfast. Not western style. Use this hotel again for next visit.

Ascott Guangzhou was fantastic in all ways except that the location was not the most convenient. Having said that, taxis are aplenty but as it was new when I was there, many taxi drivers were not aware of its location which is tucked behind another steet and not very obvious. The room was luxurious and the kitchen and room had all the facilities that was needed.
