Ars Hotel Rome Guest Reviews
The Ars hotel, while having an unfortunate name, was a great choice for our stay in Rome. On arrival I was given the option to look at a few rooms to determine my preference - both were well presented, one was larger than the other, but the smaller had access to a patio so I chose that. Unfortunately it also had the smell of stale smoke, but the staff provided air freshener on request, and I could also open the door to the balcony for fresh air. The breakfast was more than adequate; a buffet of scrambled or boiled eggs, ham or salami, croissants, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, coffee to order etc. I have read comments from some reviewers about the distance from Rome, but the bus service from the Termini puts you only a short distance away from the hotel (although it is an uphill walk!)and for the price and the piece of quiet I would make the tradeoff again. There are also resturants and a small supermarket nearby. I highly recommend to anyone who is happy out of the centre of Rome.

Wonderful hotel. Staff were very helpful and made our time in Rome a very positive experience. Our family of 6 from New Zealand will stay there again.

This hotel is outside of Rome but you can easily reach the City center by bus. From the Airport you take the rail to Termini, and from there you can buy a multiple day metro/bus pass from any of the news stands in the Termini Station, and take the 90 Express to Sempione bus stop which is right down the hill from the hotel. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting around, and even provided us with a map in which they illustrated the different bus and trolley routes. The rooms are small but very clean. The cold breakfast buffet was a great way to start off with meats and cheeses and breads as well as hard boiled eggs, yogurt and cereal. The free internet (which is DSL) took some time to actually set up but was great since other hotels were charging 3 Euros or more per hour of use. In the evening there are a couple of good places to pick up Pizza and a market to get other supplies. All in all a very good find and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I arrived in the hotel at 9 pm and left at 6 am so my opinion is very limited. Staff was friendly. The area was not nice. The room was clean but barren. The breakfast room was nice and the breakfast fare was alright.

We very much enjoyed our stay at ARS. The hotel has the quality of a brand name hotel but with the character of a boutique, with lovely gardens providing respite from the heat and noise of Rome's hectic tourist areas. The hotel provides free internet, and is close to shops, gellateria, snack bars and restaurants. The breakfast was decent. The hotel was also about 5 minutes walk from the bus stop providing frequent services into central Rome. The journey times did vary however due to Rome's heavy traffic - most journeys took 30-45 minutes however once took about 60 minutes, so allow extra time in the mornings if you need to join a tour etc. Overall good value for money and would stay again.
