Aqua Palms Waikiki Hotel

I have stayed at this hotel several times. Its a really good basic hotel. Room was average but adequate for my needs of a one night stay. Not a lot of frills but then not to expensive either. Right across the street from the Hawaii Hilton village for your friends with more money. Easy walk to Ala Moana mall and other areas. Some nice pubs around the corner close by. The staff from my experience was nice. Never had a bad stay there and do recommend it.

We were here only for a few days on a stop over to Kauai and for what we wanted it was OK for the price. A bit out dated but the staff makes up for a bit of this. If you want a place to bunk down for the night and have activities to keep you busy for the day it is OK.

Just got back from our 3rd stay at Aqua Palms. It is our favourite hotel in Waikiki and it's always pleasure to stay there. Absolutely love its location, across the street from Hilton Hawaiian Village, and in walking distance to Ala Moana centre and beach - it doesn't get better than this. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and they help us feel like home at Palms. Can't wait to get back there next year.

Location is good. It is easy to go anywhere, such as beaches, Ala Moana shopping center, Kalakaua Ave..But room is not okay. When we arrived in the first day, the sink clogged and water stayed there for like 20 mins. We need to wait for maintenance staff to fix. There is no wireless internet. but ethernet. only in room which means only one person can use internet at one time. not convenient.

we just got back from 14 nights at Aqua Palms and are very happy with our experience there. Clean rooms and clean bathroom, friendly staff and convenient location 10min walk to Waikiki beach/kalakaua ave (the main part of Waikiki) / AlaMoana shopping centre (worlds largest outdoor shopping) /AlaMoana beach park and directly opposite from the Hilton Hawaiian village (which is useful because lots of the theme park pick up buses stop there) We stayed on the sixth floor in value city view room (yes there is not much of a view, but we weren't there for the view, we were there to sleep and the big king pillow top with clean white sheets was more than we could ask for with the good value we were paying for the room. We also had a brand new bar fridge and Sharp microwave oven and huge LCD tv. The only minus was that we were right next to the ice machine on the floor but we got used to the noise. The staff are fabulous and friendly and they even provide beach towels, a free drink and apples.

The room was ample for the price, and clean. Nice location - short walk to the beach. The staff was very accommodating. We have no complaints.

The staff have all been very friendly. The room I got for an average of $120/night was tiny. I found out some water front hotels were charging the same, so I felt the value wasn't that great. The room had a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator as well as iron and ironing board. There was a small desk and table and huge flat screen TV. it appears it was upgraded at some point with marble floors in the bath and hall. However, the furniture was worn and almost looked trash picked. There was a tear in my bed sheet but the sheets seemed clean. There are nicks and scrapes in the walls. The carpet looks old and has a huge 2 ft diameter stain by the bed. The hall carpets have definitely seen better days. The lobby area is functional. I chose this hotel due to location and fact they have free WIFI. However, WIFI is only available in the lobby and is VERY slow. Luckily there was a computer connector in the room, but even that was somewhat slow.

I stayed there for a 10 days vacation, and could have not picked a better location and hotel... The rates were very affordable, the staff extremely friendly and helpful! The room was very clean; everyday room service made it even better... Free continental breakfast by the pool, and a block away from Waikiki Beach. I highly recommend this "Boutique Hotel" and would gladly go back to it or one of its 'sisters'!.. Thanks again for one of the best vacation I've ever had! Cheers. BJH

This is a great basic hotel. If you're looking for luxurious living, you should definitely go for the resorts or places like the Hilton Hawaiian Village across the street. But if you're just looking for a good, clean place to stay, the Aqua Palms and Spa is a good option. Some amenities included are: microwave and fridge/freezer in the room, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, soap, hair dryer, personal safe, TV, free wired internet in the room, and free wi-fi in the hotel lobby (just get the connection information from reception). There is a tiny gym (it's just a small hotel room converted into a gym), and a very small pool (kind of disappointing, really - stick with the beach if you want to swim). There isn't any free breakfast, but you can get discounts in the nearby Wailea Coffee House and IHOP with your room card. Another thing to note is that the internet can get very slow here, especially when everyone's using it at night. The staff here is all very friendly, and it is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Waikiki and the Ala Moana Shopping Center.

I stayed here for ten nites and the hotel was average. The staff was great , very helpful and friendly, but the place could use a few upgrades. The bathrooms weren't always cleaned very well and the bed did not provide the best sleep (it was way to soft). However, the location was great becuase it wasn't to close to the heart of Waikiki beach which could get could of loud at nite. The hotel is across from the Hilton Hawaiian Vilage so I took advantage of their services and there end of the beach.

Can't give it my highest rating because there was no bathtub - only a shower - and I forgot to check that. Very clean, professional and friendly staff, and reasonable price. Very small room but still decent.

My wife and I are active vacationers, so we don't tend to spend a lot of time in hotel rooms. We use them mainly for sleeping, getting cleaned up, and maybe heating up and eating some leftovers. For that use, the Aqua Palms was perfect. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, there wasn't a whole lot of disturbing noise, and they provided the essentials needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel gives you beach towels and beach chairs, and they also will arrange island excursions for you. We didn't use this service, as our two best friends are locals, and they showed us all the sweet spots. If you want to use the internet in your room, make sure your computer is ready to accept a network cable, as there is no Wi-Fi service in the rooms. Wi-Fi is available in the lobby for free. As long as the price is still as good as it was this last time, we would definitely stay here again.

the only thing that went wrong was Orbitz gave them the wrong information, and we only got 1 queen bed for three guests. Then a couple days later they gave us a 2 queen bed room. Overall, they were really nice staff and clean and quiet. I loves it there and would recommend it everyone that goes on vacation

Hotel was in a good location. Unfortunately had a room without a balcony so didn't enjoy being in the room very much. Had a fridge and microwave which was nice. Everything was very average overall, but haven't stayed in any other places in Honolulu so this could be a good option I guess.

The Hotel was great but the timing was horrible. There was road construction right outside the hotel and they could not work on it during the day due to traffic. Therefore a tractor was lifting and dropping steel plates all night long into 4-5am. Needless to say I didn't sleep very well. As far as the staff and the location it was great. Just a short walk to the beach and Hilton Plaza. Very nice, Beautiful sunsets.
