Appia Park Hotel Rome
4.8 out of 5

My husbannd and I spent 2 nights here recently. At first we were given a room on the 1st floor and it smelt of stale cigarettes. They changed us straight away and after that we had no problems at all. It would be nice if the 664 bus timetable were displayed in hotel. It is a long walk to Colle Albani (to the underground). I would stay here again.

I thought that the hotel would be too far away from the city centre but the transport system costing only 1 euro for a trip or 4 euro for unlimited daily travel is superb and it takes just 20/25mins to the main terminus, with easy onward access. The hotel staff were very welcoming and full of information(also check out the monthly whats on guide)the room was of medium to large size very clean comfortable, breakfast was also plentiful coffee strong and hot.All in all an exceptional hotel at this price we will certainly stay again.

Well organised and helpful staff - nice atmosphere and clean rooms. Good public transport, only 1/2hr from the centre of Rome. Remember to buy your ticket before catching the bus - for 1 euro you can travel by bus, tram or train for 75mins - great value!

I usually use Appia Park Hotel several times a year for leaving from Ciampino the next day. It is situated on the way to Ciampino, but a bit out of the center. Always pleasant and quiet stay. Single rooms are a bit small. Well decorated, spacious, good breakfasts.

Decent hotel close to the highway and to southern Rome main roads. Regular rooms are quite small but with acceptable features. It is a good option if you are not looking for luxury and have your own car, which can be parked free of charge in the undergroung hotel parking space.

This is a very nice hotel with friendly staff & nice rooms. The resturant was very nice & service very good. breaky was nice with a good selection on offer. The location was a little bit out of the way, you can catch a bus(5 min walk) to the metro station, from there its easy. Would stay there again.

This is an excellent 4 star hotel. The staff are pleasant and helpful and most of had at least "hotel" English which was great. The room was in the annexe, air conditioned and very clean with daily linen and towel change. Close to Ciampino Airport but a long way from the city centre of Rome. Breakfast was not great and a somewhat limited lunch and dinner menu could expand a little. Otherwise, a hit and one we would definitely use again.

We received a warm welcome, when we eventually arrived for our overnight stay, after a dreadful journey from Naples. Room was very clean and of average size, with windows that opened, as well as air-conditioning. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant, and the next morning, the continental breakfast buffet was varied and well-stocked. Very good location for Ciampino Airport, and despite the latter's proximity, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful, with underground and surface parking.

Stayed recently and was put into the apartment. This is a block of rooms away from the main hotel .The rooms are of a lower standard ,smaller but functional. The only drawback is when you need something in the hotel like a drink or a meal you have to cross over to the hotel.I was having a drink in my room and was over and back a few times .I will specify the hotel and not the annex next time.
