Aparthotel Atenea Calabria Barcelona Guest Reviews (9)
We had a great time in Barcelona. The hotel was close the everything. We had a big supermarket right next door which was great for snacks, drinks etc. The staff were very helpful, arranging taxis and maps etc. Would stay here again.

As most of the other reviewers whose opinions were extremely helpful in the selection of a hotel,we find the Aparthotel Calabria located very conveniently for city visits. The supermarket is nice and its prices are better than in Portugal :) This time the staff left some detergent and a sponge in the kitchenette but only one shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom for all three of us! We had to alert twice the front desk staff about the (non)cleanliness of our room, before it was cleaned properly. In summary: the front desk staff were very nice and helpful; they allowed us to do an early check-in and kept our luggage safe for a few hours after check-out; the cleaning staff need to be more thorough and replenish the shampoo etc. on a daily basis. We did not have any problem with noisy neighbors although the hotel was 100% full.It seems most of the guests were families with children, like us, and we could only hear them in the morning. The TV was flat screen and nice but only about four out of the 79 channels were actually working. We asked if that can be fixed but nobody did anything about it.Interestingly enough, the MTV channel in the lobby had a perfect picture and sound, while we could not see it even once in our room!Hotel management should take care of this problem. In conclusion,I recommend this hotel as a good economical option in Barcelona, near both major squares and with perfect transport connections.

We spent 5 nights on a post-Christmas break (myself, hubby and 10 year old daughter). Having the space was excellent, and the hotel location is good- a lovely residential area within a longish but very manageable walk to the centre and very close to the Metro. Nice breakfast, good facilities, big comfortable room, good, hot powerful showers. The kitchen area was a bonus. The only slight issue was that walls are thin and there is considerable noise coming in from other rooms, but this is the case in many hotels. I would happily stay there again,

Location is quiet good, not far away from a tube station. Rooms were really huge and clean, even with balcony. Unfortunately the walls are very thin and you wake up in the night when your neighbours, people up- or downstairs are closing their doors etc.. Also there were some building works going on early in the morning. Nothing for people with slight sleep. But really nice breakfast.

This aparthotel is not in line with the current standards of a *** service. Breakfast is poor and the location too hot to dine. In summer this must be unbearable. Consider something a bit more pricy but you'll find yourself better off.
