Location
Ao Prao Resort is two hours from Bangkok and one hour from Pattaya. While the resort is relatively close to the city, the property provides the perfect escape from the busy urban life.
Rooms
Tropical-style cottages rest on lush greenery and give an earthy feel to the dwellings. All 53 accommodation units are well appropriated with standard beach vacation essentials like air conditioning, private bathroom and satellite TV. Private balconies afford views of the sea.

5 star location, disappointing experience. Ao Prao has a wonderful location and the restaurant and bar staff were all friendly, smiling and keen to help. The Hotel welcome was pleasant as was the reception - although the staff on the front desk have only very limited English. The room - a deluxe cottage - was a little tired and lacking in maintenance. Acceptable, perhaps, but in a 2/3 star place - not at the prices being charged. The restaurant has a wonderful setting. Service and food were good but the prices were very high. Again, we'd have expected better for the money. Two significant grumbles. The advertised internet access was a cable connection in the reception, no wireless. At 300 bht an hour (£6) Another frustration was the ferry. The first boat in the morning is at 10. We needed to leave by 8. No problem - we could have the hotel boat for 2000 bht - £40!!! So we left a day early, disappointed. Nice place but not great value for money.

Nice hotel, Friendly Staff, Food a bit pricey compared to other beaches. Overall a nice hotel, pricing reasonable.

This hotel is on the expensive side. The bedroom and the bathroom are small. Fortunately, the location is excellent (peaceful beach, far from busy and crowded Sai Keaow beach).

Very good location, very quiet and peaceful area. A good place to come to relax. But one swimming pool is missing especially when you have some children. Otherwise the deluxe bedroom was comfortable but I visited some better "value for money" hotels in Thailand.

Ok place, good especially if you come with family or you are a once-twice per year visitor in SEA. For an experienced expat in the area, not the optimum holiday place, but everything works..
