Had the most incredible experience in Venice and staying at this hotel just made it even better. Friendly and helpful English speaking staff, high speed internet in the room, and fantastic location. Would stay here again no question. When faced with the decision of where to stay in Venice- this is the place to be!

Lovely little hotel in a great location, just a minute or so from Piazza San Marco. If you are arriving in Venice by train, you can catch a ferry to San Marco, just outside of the station. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor which overlooked a canal and a small bridge and was perfect for a stay in Venice. Breakfast was good and included cold meats, cheeses, breads, cereals, juice, tea and coffee etc. Very generous, particularly considering how expensive eating out in Venice is. Staff are friendly and helpful and internet service is available if required. The hotel does not have a lift, so you would need to keep this in mind if you are not able to walk up several flights of stairs. Would stay here again.

Excellent hotel, my daughter and I really enjoyed our holiday in Venice. We hope to return in 2009/10 and would definitely stay in Antica Locanda Al Gambero again.
