Angsana Resort & Spa Bintan Guest Reviews
Delighted with this Resort, beautiful ambience and pleasant staff. Great breakfast. Spacious room with balcony- serviced twice a day. Bottled drinking water supplied daily - also mosquito repellent supplied in the room. However its secluded position means that there is no shopping or other eating options outside the resort, so you need to catch a shuttle ($5 a head) to go to the markets. However the resort food wasnt overpriced. A Club Sandwich costs about $12 american and was delicious. Be mindful though of the 10% surcharge plus taxes. Recommended venue for a resort holiday prior or after a long flight - however make sure you book the ferry before travelling and if leaving on a sunday, also make sure you book a transfer from the Ferry terminal into either Singapore or the Airport! The queu for a taxi was a mile long with no available free taxis! After 90mins waiting, we had to take a limousine to the airport at more than double the taxi fare! All up, enjoyed our stay.

They have wonderful service and very nice maner. You can't imagine that they can memorize your name after they met you the first time. The Food in the Lotus Cafe is nice. The beach is good and clean. And it's amazing for City-living-people to see the Starry Sky there... If I would go to Bintan again, Angsana would be my only choice.

Beautiful hotel, with fantastic facilities and a magical location on the still largely unspoiled and unknown Singapore-owned north coast of Bintan Island. We stayed in September, with great weather, but the hotel was perhaps a little under half full, and the beach seemed all but empty every day. Very romantic pool and beach, the food was simply divine (especially the included buffet breakfast, best I've ever had) and the service excellent. We had a great stay and will return. The main problem might be that Angsana, like all the other hotels on Bintan I expect, seems isolated. You're not encouraged to leave the resort, so you're pretty much stuck there for the length of your stay. Angsana does however encourage you to head over to the posher hotel next door, Banyan Tree, for its fine cuisine, but only because it is part of the same group. We actually prefered the food in Angsana -- and the atmosphere was certainly more relaxed. Very much recommended.
