Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa Guest Reviews
This place is unbelievable. Inredible grounds, food, staff, location and ammenities. We could not have imagined a better hotel.

The hotel is unique and impressive in location and style in the area. However, food, spa and almost anything are extremely expensive. I would recommend people to go there for some special reasons such as honey moon or important celebration, which you just want something memoriable and don't care much your money.

The location is stunning, being on the border of three countries. From our hotel room we could see Myanmar, Laos and Thailand.Unlike places like Bangkok and sadly even Chiang Mai to some extent, where pollution and semi-organised chaos makes them not places to relax in, this area is very rural, unspoilt and pollution free. The staff are extremely courteous and friendly. The hotel has its own elephant camp. Your level of intimacy with their elephants can range from a half hour taking of photographs to a three day trek. They also have water buffalo and amazing bird life. They have a spa which is opulent. However my wife and I had better massages elsewhere in Thailand. Also the spa services are not cheap for what you get. We would recommend the 3 countries tour - a one day excursion to Myanmar (Burma), Laos and places in Thailand like Chiang Ream. Would definitely go back given the chance.

What a great hotel! Imagine arriving at what seems like the end of the world, after a long, winding drive through the hills from Chiang Mai, and finding a luxury hotel carved into the jungle overlooking the very apex of the Golden Triangle -- with a big, comfortable air-conditioned room, giant bed, minibar, cable TV, a spectacular swimming pool (with jacuzzi), fabulous buffet dinners and breakfasts and an attentive and pleasant staff, from the bartenders and front desk personnel right down to the chambermaids. If your goal is to rough it through this part of the world, the Meridien Baan Boran is definitely NOT for you -- but if you want to temper your adventure with a whole lot of creature comforts at a very reasonable price, this hotel may be one of the best finds in the world.

Friendly and helpful staff. Outstanding Thai food. Premium location close to the Lao and Myanmar borders. But 2 major drawbacks, should you spend the day at the hotel: the view is spoiled by an ugly Myanmar-based Thai casino, and the air by the noise of speedboats racing up and down the Mekong river (from 8AM until 6PM).
