The experience at the hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and went out of the way to be helpful in any requests we may have had. The style of the hotel is sophisticated and classy but yet totally comfortable and relaxed. The selection of food at breakfast was unsurpassable. The location was in the town center and nearby to the ruins, churches, and shopping. The train station was within walking distance. I would definitely recommend the Amleto Hotel.

On a UK reference this is not a four star hotel. Nearly as good as a decent motorway lodge. The bedroom was tiny and had completely inadequate storage for clothes. There is no restaurant, a bar but it has no service. The breakfast is excellent. The ants, which infest the bedroom, are probably excellent ants but not what I want to share my bed with. The building sites on three sides (refitting derelict buildings) start work very early in the morning. No rooms with baths, just slightly mouldy showers. No extract fan in the showers room, which is odd since they are mandatory under building regulations in the UK. The surroundings are about as nice as the rougher end of Bradford. On a whole Pompeii is rather like Hartlepool but not quite as nice. The hotel's reception area is very nice and so are the stairs. The independent restaurant next door to the hotel's garage was very good, well priced with good service.
