Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Downtown Houston Guest Reviews
This hotel was very centrally located with a clean room and friendly staff. Breakfast only included waffles and cereal. I would have preferred fresh fruit as an option. I was placed in a second floor room and the exterior steps to the room were somewhat steep. Otherwise, for the convenient location I was very pleased with this facility.

I was playing in a National Seniors Games Tennis Tournament. The hotel was pretty much of a straight shot the downtown George Brown Convention Center. The person who managed the hotel was pretty knowledgeable, however, a younger fellow who also managed the front desk didn't have a clue. I asked him for two wake up calls I never got. I asked him about a good place to go eat, he gave me McDonald's and a pizza place, not my idea of good places to eat. The manager was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well kept. The breakfast was misleading, only cereal and pancakes, no juice or other drinks. I generally stay at higher end hotels, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't stay there again.
