Americas Best Value Inn Downtown Sacramento Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

Stayed here on a saturday night after partying in midtown. Overall: Good spot for the price. Room was comfortable and quiet despite the busy street. Location not as bad as other reviews led me to believe but taxi in/ out of the area at night to be safe.

When I first pulled up I was concerned. This hotel sits in the middle of a questionable neighborhood in downtown Sacramento and the outside of the building would benefit from some paint. I was very close to going somewhere else, but I was really too tired, so I went in. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The staff was VERY friendly and accomodating. Most of all, I felt safe and secure and was very comfortable. Although the neighborhood seemed dicey, the proximity to downtown was great. Not bad for this price range. I'm glad I didn't judge this book by its cover.

This wasn't the location downtown its the one on Jabboom street in Sacramento 2 miles from downtown. It was very dirty, the sink stopper was broken i could pull it out of the sink. there was a huge what looked like blood stain on the side of the microwave, lots of holes in the walls that showed where they TRIED to make repairs or unfinished work. chair broke when i sat on it. It was very loud there I could hear everything and people yelling and talking and punching the walls, the people that stayed around here where very rude not that thats the hotels fault but it would have been nice if the walls had been more sound proofed. I would not reccommend anyone stay here EVER!!!!!!!! NOT WORTH THE MONEY and [*] their advertisements they aren't true.
