Room was small. Noise isolation to 6th Avenue does not exists but vrey newyorker to watch 6th Avenue trafic from Your bed. Shared batthrooms were clean. This is not for staying in room but resting between discovering city.

This hotel reminded me of a dormitory with the shared bathrooms. While I was not prepared for this, I found the room warm, quiet, and efficient for my needs. The hotel was conveniently located in walking distance from my office (9th Ave & 35th streets); close to all needed transportation, shops, and eating options. The desk staff was pleasant and helpful. I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel.

Location within walking blocks to Rockefeller Center, Saks, Lord and Taylor, Empire State, Macys, Port Authority, Bryant Park, Library ... Room small but clean. Bathroom to be shared, no problem, very clean. Ideal for short stay. Will use again. (Our room) not recommended if traveling with children

I will definately stay at this hotel again. I saw other reviews complain about noise from the streets, but it wasnt bad at all. I loved the location of this hotel! Chinatown, times square, & Macy's are all within about .4 to 2 miles away. We didn't have to take a taxi at all. The room was small, but that was to be expected. (Sink, end table, 2 twin beds & a window overlooking the streets below) The hotel has shared bathrooms. (Basically there's 4 separate bathrooms on each floor that have a toilet, sink, & bath tub w/ showerhead) Each floor has approx 10 hotel bedrooms, & the bathrooms are spread throughout each floor- so you only have to walk a few extra feet to the bathroom. I never had to wait for a bathroom & the shower water was nice & hot!

We were quite shocked to find that we had to share a bathroom. It was not quite as bad as we expected, the bathroom was right outside our room and was clean.

The location is the best asset. Restrooms must be improved, not hot water in some of them. Free wifi internet sound be installed.

though the bathroom is shared, it is very clean. Amenities in the room include soap for face & body, hair conditioner, towers, plastic cups. Room also has small-sized tv, nice washstand with mirror, and soft bed(s). Located along the street, it is somewhat noisy.

me & my husbands stay was very exciting and comfortable. however, the only detail that we were not happy with, was sharing a bathroom with other hotel guests. imagine having to use the bathroom at 3am, having to walk out your room, with sanitizing wipes in hand, room key (to get back in) only to find that the bathroom is being utilized. other then that, hotel staff were very kind and pleasant and hotel was very clean.

My first experience as I arrived at the hotel was the elevator up to the lobby: I noticed by chance that what is clearly meant to be and is used as the guest elevator is a load elevator that's illegal to use for passengers. The gentleman at the lobby, I have to admit, was friendly enough. The room had the look and size of a prison cell, which I suppose is OK for the price, though it'd be nice if the light wasn't provided by a CFL without a shade and if the broken TV mount wouldn't point the TV to the floor. By the reception desk there was some sign saying that smoke detectors are available for borrowing, and I didn't see any installed in my room--will the guy who smokes in his bed next to my room have borrowed a detector? When I booked nothing showed any mention of shared bathroom, but, indeed, you won't get your own bathroom, but will have to share a communal bathroom that's as stenched out as the bedroom. Which leads me to... The most serious problem with the hotel in general and my room in particular was an unbearable and sickening stench. It was a 90-degree day, so your experience might be better when it's colder. I don't know whether that has to do with cleaning standards inside the hotel or whether they store piles of trash under the guestroom windows, but I couldn't be in that room and quickly got myself a room in another hotel that cost a bit more but wasn't nauseating. This might be an OK accommodation when it's colder and you absolutely want to save the last dollar you can (though you might investigate taking the train from a cheaper area in that case). Definitely avoid when the weather is hot. Also avoid if you expect your hotel to abide by normal safety standards with respect to elevator operation, fire prevention, and presumably other fields, too.

Overall, the hotel was just as you would expect. We had the twin bed room, so it was two beds, a small bedside table, and a sink crammed in a tiny room. It wasn't an issue, as we weren't spending a ton of time in the room. My only complaint about the hotel was the fact that the bathrooms do not have a fan/ventilation system, so the bathrooms on the floor always seems to be hot and muggy from the last person that took a shower. Other than that though, the hotel was in a great location, only a few blocks from Bryant Park, Times Square, subway stations, and only a short walk from Rockefeller and 5th Avenue. I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay somewhere for a few days that just needs somewhere to sleep!

Nothing special, its got a great location, good for new york. You can get WIFI using the Pret Manger coffee shop connection in some rooms and the coffee in the Emporium across the road is the best in NYC

I stayed in a very small room 2,10 x 4,50 meter (during the hot season it will be intolerale, because the aircondition make such a noice that you cannot slep, when it is on). The room was very clean and just opposite a clean shared bathroom. No problems with the bathroom and the other guests. The staff was efficient and friendly. No breakfast and no restaurant, but on the floor was a small kitchen with refrigerator and microwave oven. Location was perfect and the price was all right.

I must say that when I made my booking, I was not ready for this. The hotel is so very clean, tidy and though it was a bit small for my children and myself, but we must say that it was very comfortable. The location is so great, it was near to every happenings in New York. I can't believe I was step away from the biggest Macy and shopping was good. All the staff are so helpful, friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. I can't thank the staff enough for helping me out, especially when my daughter was sick at 12 midnite. I will definetely consider myself staying here again should I drop by this city again.
