Excellent rooms. Room service meals were not great, however this was probably because I chose a western-style dish; there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A very well mantained hotel considering the age, definitely used to be the Grand Madame in its hey day. A little bit tired on some areas (such as gym and swimming pool) but it is still a very nice classy hotel. Prices are not that great value - considering there are other nearby offerings for half the price - though may not be as classy.

Ambassador Hotel Taipei

Very well located (near all major art galleries), meals are great, gym needs upgrading and enlarging, mini bar needs more than 2 beers and 1 Coke. I have stayed there before so it must be OK as I have returned.

The location of the Ambassador Hotel is great! Just minutes from the metro and in the middle of the city. The staff were helpful and courteous. I definitely enjoyed my stay there.

The service staff was indeed very helpful. My visiting colleagues were there with me and we needed a speaker phone for our conference call. The staff went round looking for it and finally found one in their business center and had it sent to my room.

Good location. This is my second stay at this hotel and the room is much smaller than my first stay.

Nice modern feel/restaurant quality questionable, depending on personal taste/very friendly & helpful staff/efficient maid service, quiet and fast/good view of the beautiful street on the front of hotel/doorman and bell attendant are excellent by any standard.

TV cabinet is located on the left side of the bed (as opposed to front). Might get a stiff neck the next morning if you don''t adjust your body posture. Location is convenient as the airport coach stops directly in front of the hotel. That is my only grouse. The coach fare is only TWD100. The airport limo costs about TWD1,200 to town, and don''t bother to take cab as it would cost TWD1350. Approx 15-walk to the subway.
