Amarin Samui Hotel Guest Reviews
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and are on hand to provide assistance in any possible way. Its a shame the upstairs bar and restaurant were closed.

The Amarin is a clean, well run hotel with very friendly staff. The swimming pool is an added bonus as it is about an 800m walk to the beach (hotel do however provide free taxi service to beach and it a fairly pleasant walk despite sometimes busy road). There is a good breakfast with plenty of hot and cold goodies to choose from (Chef's omlettes are very good!)and Lunch Specials are great value with Thai and Western dishes offered e.g Singha beer and club sandwich with chips for 140 baht. Twice nightly transfer service into Chaweng Beach at 100 baht return is also good value though last transport back at 23.00 hrs disappointingly early! Enjoy!!

Nice 40+ room hotel with modern facilities on the main street through Maenam. Stroll or tuk-tuk to beach. Large rooms with DVD & Wireless Internet a plus. Meals OK but need better TV channels & "Do Not Disturb" signs a must. Otherwise fine for Maenam.

The hotel in general is fine. The location is terrible, since in Maenam there is nothing to do, and all you end up doing is taking a taxi to cheweng to hang out. It strikes me funny that such a new and sophisticated hotel would locate itself at the present location. Many people haven''t heard of the hotel (it''s been up and running for eight months as of Jan 2005) and the hotel doesn''t appear in any of the samui maps given out at the airport. My wife and I did have some fears the place doesn''t actually exist, but we made a phone call and the place does exist. We had a "gala dinner" on dec 31st. The food was good, but the activities were so poor, we left about an hour everything started and left to cheweng to hang out. Overall, there are much better located hotels!!

Very new hotel which is trying to be a "boutique" style hotel. Rooms are very nice but with poor views, and lobby area could have been designed better.
