Location

Amari Emerald Cove Koh Chang Guest Reviews
Back at the Amari for who knows how many time. The hotel keeps up with good services. It was a bit run down, not as clean as before.But the lovely manager was really nice about my comments. He was very friendly to all guests at the hotel. The Pool Bar was good also. There have these buy one get one free hour in the evening. Mojito served by a skiny bartender was so cool but not the other bartender. This is the place for me on Ko Chang!

Overall the Amari was very clean, but it also just opened in Oct. of 04. I felt it was a bit over priced, but we had no choice as we were booked in Phuket, and Phi Phi Island, and had to find somewhere fast. Our thanks to asia-hotels.com as they again came through for us, and got us these rooms 2 days after the tsunami''s hit. The service at the restaurants was extremely slow, and the staff very unorganised throughout. Hopefully they''ll get their act together soon. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Would we stay there again, I don''t think so.

Fine hotel with excellent spacious room - except the bath room sliding door is not very comfortable to use. Restaurants good, food delicious. Childrens'' menu could be more adventurous, more choices than hamburger, hot dog etc. Those kids can have at a snack bar! The beach is fine during the low tide, otherwise a bit narrow for kids to play, but the pools are very big and good. Because the hotel is quite new, the staff seemend to be not so experienced, but they are extremely friendly. We will definitely return to this hotel!
