This Hotel is my first choice in Eygpt

For us, this hotel was in the perfect position. If you stay here, remember this was the old Sheraton in Giza. Not all Taxi drivers know the Amarante. Its about 10 minutes from the pyramids and about 20 - 30 minutes to the city. Overall it was alright but the breakfast wasn't the best.

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. Service was very poor, almost non-existent. Breakfasts were very good, with a large selection available. Not recommended.

The Amarante is a good 4 star hotel, double bedroom well furnished good size comfortable Kingsize bed, TV with enough English channels. Pool is unheated and was very cold during our end of March stay. The Hotel and its Pool area gardens are an 'Oasis'in the madness of Giza. Its about 500mtrs off the Main Pyramids Street and is in a quite side street about 10 minutes by car from the Pyramids about 30 minutes from teh Egytian Museum, and an hour or so from the Airport. Only two resturants (Euroean Style and Japanese) were open, the third (mexican) was close as the hotel at this time had very few guests. Hotel services include Business Centre, Gift shops and Taxi/travel Service which will arrnage Cars, trips, guides at very fair prices. Basically we were very happy with the deal we got through [your website], thank you.
