Amadeus Hotel Venice
5 out of 5

For a hotel in an old italian city this is great value and, although a little distant from Piazza San Marco its closeness to transport links more than compensates (this is one city where you cant get off the bus with your luggage at the hotel door) Situated on a busy pedestrain only street we found our room to be thankfully very quiet. Best feature was the buffet breakfast.

Great Location, right next to the train station and a 10 min walk to St. Mark's square

We got a good impression when we walked in to the lobby, but our room and bathroom were outdated and it looked more like a motel then a 4 star hotel. The elevator was carpet and only 2 average size people fit in sideways. The room was a good size and clean but the bathroom needed remodeling, the counter was falling and the walls had mold on them. The breakfast was good, its 5 min walk to the train station and walking distance to all the tourist sites, has lots of stores for shopping and dinning options around the area. Another big disappointment was there was no interenet in the hotel and we could get service from the hotel next door but we had to pay 6 euros for 30 mins. The staff was not very helpful and their english was not that great.

The Hotel in its self was 4 Star.. But the Rooms were 3 Star.. But for the money it was Great! The location is good but there are no good views of venice from the rooms.. The staff was ok, again 3 star... I would recommend this Hotel to anyone on a reasonable budget. I give this Hotel 3.5 Stars

The Staff were not helpful in offering any advise on tours or things to do - slack. When leaving found out there were helicopter tours that would have been great so bit lazy with guests. Breakfast is nice.

Have stayed in many hotels in Venice, and for vaalue for money this tops them all. Everything was as described - no bad surprises, and rooms were of good size, with comfortable beds. Breakfast was adequate, and the barman was very friendly! Will stay there again.

Beware of the nice looking looby, Rooms are no where near. Very small and conjusted. The hotel is not overlooking any water front as you expect in Venice. The elevator needed serious repair and upgrade. It was the world's tiniest elevator. The airconditioner & fan did not work and we had sleep with window open. They do not care. We just will not go back to this hotel.

This hotel was fantastic: rooms were comfortable size, bathroom in double room was great. Front desk staff were very helpful. Hotel is very close to the airport shuttle drop off (5-10 minute walk...you only need to cross over one canal bridge with your bags!!). The restaurant next door (2 doors down) "Beau Brumel"(?) was fantastic too. Great food and great service. This is a great hotel for the price (paid 100Euro)

Great location at the top of Venice - saves having to cart luggage too far. Bigger rooms were nice, but grumpy/unfriendly staff were a turn-off. Breakfast was delightful!! Gabrielle, Sydney
