The swimming pool areas were excellent, as was the sun deck. There was nightly entertainment if you wanted it, but away from the bar/ reception area, you could not hear it if you didnt. Excellent position for the Lido area, with several restaurants nearby. The breakfasts were the only slight down side if you like a cooked breakfast as they were a bit mediocre, but the fresh fruit was excelent with a good choice of cereals, bread and continental meats and cheese. We would definitely go back again

Nice rooms, friendly, helpful staff in fairly recent, 14 storey building. Prefer even numbered rooms high in the building for view and quiet. Some 1st to 3rd floor rooms overlook busy road. Frequent buses outside to Funchal centre, or 20 min walk. Good heated swimming pools, indoor and outdoor with sun from about 10:30 till 16:00 in February, and sufficient loungers at that time. Free garage for your hire car. All in all, a very positive experience and good value for money.
