Good Hotel for the price with full breakfast. Located on the edge of Altenburg, not a problem if you have a car. Easily accessible by taxi or bus from the Railway station.

Mum and I had a cracking time in the Hof. We had no kettle in the room for making tea (we're scottish) but the breakfast was out of this world fantastic!! We had dinner in the hotel which was very nice, huge portions and very reasonably priced. Superb location a stones throw from the old town and 2 minutes walk from the puschkinstrSe bus stop which takes you over to the bus and train stations. Only problem for us was that we had no German and they had no English but it was fun communicating regardless!! We loved it!

Lovely hotel , with excellant helpfull staff. Altenburg was great itself , with the city centre only 5 mins walk from the hotel.

Great for the price we paid, basic clean room, lacking coffee making facilities. Located out of the town centre and uphill for those with walking difficulties.
