Alpine Lake Motor Lodge is close to Taupo town centre placing guests with easy access to restaurants, shops, cafes and bars. Holidaymakers can visit and trek the Craters of the Moon Thermal Area or play a few holes at Wairakei International Golf Course over six kilometres away.

Advertised as ' luxury accomodation' we found the Alpine Lake Motor Lodge to be clean and tidy but not luxury in any sense - We had the choice to stay there a couple of night later and choose not to - It was not a bad experience but at best we would call it average.

Four years old and still looks and feels brand new. The lady manager was most obliging with extra milk and the loan of two DVD's. Large interiors with simple but elegant interior decorations and quality furnishings. I couldn't fault the tastefulness of the amenities. Upper end charges but still good value for money.
