Aloft New York Brooklyn Hotel Guest Reviews
As a college student traveling on budget, I was truly impressed by this hotel. The room was quite comfortable, modern, and cleverly arranged to fit the space constraints. It's incredibly close to the subway, and a really quick ride into Manhattan. Overall, my experience was very, very positive. Fun room, great amenities, friendly staff at a really low price for NYC. I highly recommend it.

The hotel room is very functional. The staff was pleasant to deal with. The hotel elevators are like being on the dance floor at a disco.

I needed to stay in a hotel close to where my family lives. Aloft was in a very convenient area for me and the price was reasonable. Usually I stay with family when visiting but I had my son with special needs and needed to stay in a place that he would feel grounded, safe and with little transition. A beautiful looking hotel, my son loved the colors and furniture and wants to come back next time. I would definitely go back.

Rooms are nice, big bed, opening windows, space around the bed (but not much in the way of places for clothes). plug-in alarm clock rather than i-pod dock (strange), flat screen tv with clunky interface. Everything was clean, fresh. Staff did not know how to get to the hotel in a car (lots of one-way streets & it's confusing, but!) Everyone was helpful and pleasant - elevators are slow, using the stairs is a better option. Free coffee and food for sale in the lobby, nicely done, included fruit, etc. In a great location for Brooklyn and for getting into Manhattan quickly on the subway. A little information for guests would be helpful - e.g. I didn't know until we were leaving that there was a pool available for use. All in all though a very pleasant experience. (We got a good deal on the price as it was just opening...)

Front desk could not have been nicer. Great personalities, willing to go out of their way to assist. I had a problem with being in a room with an adjoining room - all activity could be heard through the adjoining doors. I requested another room and was reassigned within minutes. Housekeeping was accommodating as well when I requested addit'l tea. Room was sparkling clean, bed was very comfortable, air conditioning worked great. Room was kind of small - would have been too small for two people. No dressers to put clothes in (had to keep them folded in suitcase), and the closet was really a storage compartment about 3 feet high (not good for a long evening dress or coat) with a curtain pulled to serve as the door. No bath tubs - showers only. The location was ok, but I did not feel safe being out on streets alone after dark. The best thing about this particular hotel was the customer service. I don't know that I would recommend this hotel, but I do recommend the Aloft brand in general.
