Alius Hotel Rome

Not a 3 star hotel at all. In fact I believe it it not categorized. Ok for a 1 or 2 star hotel; don't get expectation for 3 stars. Plus - consider it as having no breakfast services.

Close to Metro Repulica & not far from Termini station, steady walk to all main attractions, east of the River Tiber. Staff helpful & friendly. Only negative was the unslightly damp above the shower. Would recommend hotel for a 2 star.

Friendly Staff. The location is excellent but the hotel is a bit difficult to find as it is on 3rd floor. No telephone in the room.

This hotel is not very easy to find and is located on the 3rd floor. Access to small elevator is available. Rooms very basic, breakfast very very basic, but hotel is in a great location. Very handy to everything, Metro stations and other sights. Staff quite pleasant.

As you can see from the score, service is fine, room was always clean and quite big too. One negative thing though: breakfast was terrible! Youghurt with artificial taste, plastic wrapped sugar sprinkled croisants so sweet that you needed to wash it down with the sour orange juice. Nothing to put on the bread except for jam. With all the sugar and sweetnes it was more like a dessert, rather than breakfast. But then again, lots of hotels near the center of Rome are a lot more expensive and you can always go and buy food elsewhere for breakfast :-)

A lovely hotel with good service and a fabulous location. People were helpful and the room was clean. A 10 minute walk to the Forum and Colusseum and a 5-10 minute walk to Termini. Breakfast is very average, however.

We stayed four nights and had the same towels. Air conditioning did not work, the first night. Thankfully it was sorted out on the third night. Bought our own bread the second morning for breakfast to supplement the prepackaged mini toast available. Service was basically self service, even from the push button coffee machine. Was however a great location.

Good location near Termini station and bus lines. Basic hotel, pleasant staff, would stay there again for a short stay.

Clean hotel room better then expected at this price. Staff are very helpful but not all of them speak fluent English but enough to get by. Access to coffee 24 hour a day is a plus. Free Internet access is provided in the lobby but you need to bring an Ethernet cable (no wireless).

Good location, bus stop in front of the hotel, busy street (safe to come home in the evening though!). Very kind service. Sober, but clean room, we didn't expect more for the price we payed! We will come back!! Marieke and Karlijn van Noort
