Alhambra Hotel London
3 out of 5

My wife and I stayed three nights before catching Eurostar to Paris from St Pancras. The hotel location was perfect for access to Kings Cross station and St Pancras. Plenty of local amenities. Unfortunately our street level room was noisy from early morning workers and pedestrians pulling suitcases past our window at all hours. It also meant, for privacy, we couldn't open our curtains. Room was small to moderate size. Bed comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful. Cost was about right.

No lift meant carrying bags up three flights of stairs...breakfast was good...

First of all, the images/pictures are misleading. On checking in found out that it is more a B&B rather than a hotel. The rooms are tiny (understatement). Also, extremely noisy and pretty rough neighbourhood. Good luck if you stay here. Positives are that staff are Friendly and the location is good.

This was a great hotel. The check-in was very efficient and friendly. The room was good, if a lttle small. However, that is what one expects in London unless you are prepared to pay over 150. The English Breakfast (included in the price) was excellent; and efficiently and freshly prepared. There was a small problem with the Shower, but judging by the positive reaction to my feedback I guess this will will be resolved quickly. I will certainly be staying there again.

Good reasonably priced hotel and very helpful and polite staff in a good location. Excellent location for a number of museums and especailly Eurostar and Kings Cross stations. Also well located for many well priced pubs, restaurants and cheaper eateries. Myself and my partner enjoyed our stay and would return.

Cosy, friendly budget hotel - excellent for the location and price, and far better than most in its class in London. Free WiFi, powerful enough to run Skype calls without dropping.

Staff Excellent, location superb, Room (Single) small.. but very adequate. Only problem was that my room was on the 3rd floor which was the top of the house and there was no lift. Breakfast is in the basement and the area is very clean, staff there very friendly. From the basement breakfast area to my room was 64 stairs.. pheeewww!!! It appears that this hotel is not bookable on [website] at the moment (April 2009) hopefully it will be available soon. Its location is excellent
